Chiang Mai 2018 - Giants and Dwarfs of the Spiritual World
00:00
Q: John of Salisbury wrote that Bernard of Chartres used to say that “we [the Moderns] are like dwarfs perched on the shoulders of giants [the Ancients], and thus we are able to see more and farther than the latter.” Repurposing this statement we may agree that we are dwarfs on the shoulders of our Acharyas (taking into consideration the culture of negativity), but can we say that we are able to see farther than the latter? — Q: What is the difference between giving and sharing?
