Q: Srila Guru Maharaja on 23:18 min of 81.10.02.D tape, mentions that: “In the time of my death this body will vanish, but the mental system with those wealth full with the memory of Mahaprabhu and Krishna that will remain. That the atom bomb can not destroy.” I was under the impression that the mind is material, and therefore destructible. You must remember the story that when two disciples of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Takur asked him about what Śrī-mūrti should they be meditating on while doing japa, he replied that they must not try to bring the Holy Name under the jurisdiction of the vulture of the mind. So, how are we to understand and harmonize the indestructibility of the mental system, possessing jivatma qualities? Q: We are often said that devotees are liberated from karma. But whom shall we consider as devotees? Everyone who got a diksha? And is there any gradation of souls liberated from karma depending on their status or position in spiritual hierarchy?
